Detection of Early Alzheimer'sThere is no cure for this Alzheimer's disease. Scientists are still in search to know the reason for this Alzheimer's disease. In 1907 German scientist Dr. Alois Alzheimer recognized this disease in a woman who died because of sudden fail of cells in brain. But early detection of symptoms and signs of this Alzheimer's disease and accurate care and diagnose will improve the quality of life and mental function of the people with this disease. There are many people who are suffering from this Alzheimer's disease nowadays. "Early detection is a key, because early treatment makes a difference, not only for the patients but also for their family members," says Steven T. DeKosky, MD, professor of neurology and director of the Alzheimer's Disease Research Center at the University of Pittsburgh. There are many symptoms to observe for this disease. They are problem in thinking, problem in language, poor judgment, loss of initiative, changes in mood, misplacing things, forgetting things happened just now, forgetting names of friends and relatives. Alzheimer's can be diagnosed up to 95 percent accuracy. Although there is no cure for this disease but diagnosis is important. Alzheimer's disease is treatable disorder but it is not curable disorder. This disease causes generally at the age of 60 years or more than 60 years. There are three stages in this disease. They are mild stage which is also called as forgetful stage, second is medium stage it is also called as confusional stage and the last stage is severs stage. Mild stage will be there for 2 to 4 years, medium stage will be there for 2 to 10 years and the last severe stage will there till death. At sever stage care should be taken towards the Alzheimer's. It is found that antioxidants available in vegetables and fruits will cure this Alzheimer's disease to some extent. There are many organizations, which are helping people to get more knowledge about this Alzheimer's disease. They are also helping in collecting funds for research. There are many reasons for this disease to occur. Some of them are family factors, genetics, hereditary, head injury, brain tumor, etc. Alzheimer's is a form of dementia. There are many ways of dementia such as Alzheimer's dementia, vascular dementia, and lewy body. Alzheimer's dementia occurs to due to fail of nerve cells in areas of brain and other mental functions. We have to take care of patients who are suffering from this Alzheimer's disease as they forget things what happened just now and they wander at night times, they like to stay at home rather than visiting out, they may lost also sometimes.
