There are 18 millions of people who are suffering from this Alzheimer's disease. There are about 4.5 millions of American people who are suffering from this Alzheimer's disease. But there is no cure for this Alzheimer's disease. Researches are going to know the exact reason and treatment for the cause of this Alzheimer's disease. It is found that antioxidants found in some vegetables and fruits are helpful in the treatment of this disease. Alzheimer's organizations are helping in collecting funds to conduct research to know the treatment and reason for this Alzheimer's disease.

There are different methods followed by doctors and scientists to know the reason for this Alzheimer's disease and also to find the medicine for it. Some important methods are checking the calorie intake, vaccines, plaques and tangles found in memory. They are also comparing the memory status of the Alzheimer's affected person with normal persons brain. Many symptoms were found for this Alzheimer's disease in research. This disease will affect the part of brain, which will perform functions such as thinking, memory, and talking. Symptoms found are problem in thinking, problem in speaking, poor in taking judgments, poor in walking, memory loss, forgetting things happened just now, forgetting names of friends and family members, wandering in nights, avoiding people while talking, problem in selecting things, problem in solving, etc.

There is no cure for this disease but we should take care and concern for the Alzheimer's affected people. Some risk factors are also found in research such as family factors, hereditary, genetics, head injury, brain tumor, etc. It is also found that it is a form of dementia, which occurs because of fail of nerve cells in some areas of brain and other mental functions. It is also found in research that there are three main stages in this Alzheimer's disease. They are mild stage, medium stage, and severe stage. Mild stage is also called as forgetful stage, which will be there for 2 to 4 years. Medium stage is also called as confusional stage, which will be there for 2 to 10 years. And the last is the severe stage, which will be there till death of the person. At this stage more care and concern should be given to the patients as the nerve cells in the brain will worsen and will leads to permanent memory loss and disorder of brain. It is also found that this disease will occur at the age of 60 years or more.
